ABOUT DEPARTMENT OF PATHOLOGY

Pathology/Histopathology, a department in the faculty of clinical sciences is sited at AKTH, Kano and is majorly involved in Teaching of both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students and Research. Pathology is the bedrock of medical sciences and therefore, the department is also involved in teaching of courses across all the departments of faculty of Allied health sciences, Anatomy department and faculty of Pharmaceutical sciences. It also provides clinical services to patients which include Histopathology, Cytology and Autopsy. The department has six teaching, two technical and two administrative staff members.
